Problem: The mouse moves too fast or seems to be erratic or it is difficult to be accurate.
Practice may be the only solution you need. But if you notice an unexpected change in your FootPOWR FootGaming accuracy there is a common cause.
If you are using the FootPOWR on a computer that gets automatic updates you may get a change in the mouse speed of both your conventional mouse and your FootPOWR "mouse" speed.
For a
quick fix, go to the XF (red icon) at the bottom
of your computer screen and go in to the CONFIGURE FOOTPOWR
link. There you can manually change the mouse speed to 1 or 2.
That speed is perfect for playing most of the games used in schools and with fitness programs. You may be able to move to speeds of 3 and 4 over time. If you want to try this and see if it fixes the problem of erratic or less precise FootPOWR "mouse" use you could solve the issue adequately.
Easy Solution: Change the mouse speed from within the FITXF software
The permanent fix is described below:
If you change the pointer speed within the windows operating system control panel, it will affect the mouse speed of the FootPOWR. The pointer speed may also be affected by automatic windows updates. Windows lets you set how fast your mouse cursor moves when you move the mouse (see picture below). If you set this to fast, the slightest movement of the mouse will cause it to move all of the way across the screen. If it is set to slow, a large mouse movement will barely mouse cursor (pointer).
Note also that there is also a checkbox labeled Enhance Pointer Precision.
We have found that it helps a bit when this is checked. It’s likely that something changed your mouse pointer settings in Windows. Perhaps it was a windows update, since that often happens automatically. Different people will likely have different pointer speeds.
The easiest solution to this problem is to adjust the mouse speed within FitXF to where you feel comfortable playing the game.
