peggle.jpg Getting Powerfully Fit with Peggle

Peggle, from PopCap games, is usually thought of as a beautiful and relaxing game where watching a ball bounce and drop rhythmically through various peg designs can be hypnotically compelling.  Not so for FootGamers. The sounds of the dropping ball and boink boink as it hits the pegs becomes the percussion to a various-paced sort of dance.

The back two squares on a FootPOWR pad when it is configured to be a mouse are actually not connected to game play.  As the ball drops, FootGamers can rock on the two back squares, jog and jump in time to the bounces or step with alternate feet at almost any exertion level.  Kids sometimes jump and jog quickly, and rock more slowly when the game is pulling all their energy to the screen.

Because the FootPOWR logs every step, even the ones on those back two squares, it's easy to calculate your speed in steps per minute.  It could start to log in miles- if you play for a longer period of time.  Who knew that trying to hit those orange pegs could lead you to a daily quota of 10,000 steps or the equivalent of a jog around the neighborhood.  You have the choice and control on how intense your Footgaming session will be.

No matter what - your balance and coordination, eye-foot, will improve with "Foot-Peggling."
