This is very compelling fun when played with a conventional mouse - but it is an enthralling SPORT when played with your feet.

The coolest part of FootGaming the World of Goo was the realization that we needed to custom-map the FootPOWR pad.  With left and right mouse buttons in the usual left and right top square it was tough to drop and drag as required by World of Goo.  The collection of three 9 year olds and an 11 year old quickly discovered the best configuration.
They opened the FootPOWR application and chose to make the mapFPP.jpgcenter square mapped as a LEFT MOUSE BUTTON.  The UP arrow was mapped as UP.  The yellow dot was mapped as DOWN.  The right arrow was mapped as RIGHT and the left arrow was mapped as LEFT.  The square (shown here with an X on it ) was also mapped as a LEFT MOUSE BUTTON.  The DOWN arrow, in fact the entire bottom row of three switches, was mapped as nothing, leaving 3 spots to stand on between moves that wouldn't affect the game.  This put all of the directions to move the cursor on the screen very close together. It gave two options for a left mouse switch - to hold the goo ball for drag and drop.

WHY did they have to do that? In World of Goo you need to "drag and drop" so one foot has to be on the LEFT mouse square WHILE you move the goo balls in the direction you want.  They left the PINK square as a free space, and the RIGHT arrow became the LEFT mouse button.
Whew! It all seems confusing until you start to play. Suddenly all the input is right there where you need it and your feet seem to move naturally to the right place.
Oh no, not the first few times.  But soon it was so much fun -and sort of hysterically funny.
So, an example of a Club Digi FootG project would be something like coming up with a new game mapping configuration.  You can map the FootPOWR peripheral to mouse and keyboard. You can save all your configurations - or simply use the ones that come with the software.
