I plugged in my FootPOWR peripheral and it isn't working
There are a number of reasons your FootPOWR peripheral may not work the moment you plug it in. The first few links will go to some trouble shooting suggestions.
- Have you installed the FootPOWR with its INSTALL CD? Your install CD requires the FootPOWR is plugged in to the computer BEFORE the install begins. You may want to plug in the FootPOWR and re-boot, then start the install CD. Once you install the CD you will see the FitXF (the FootPOWR program) logo in the bottom menu bar of the computer. Click on it and you will open the window (shown below). The green question mark indicates the HELP area. Use it! It is comprehensive and straightforward.
- It is important that you check to see which CONFIGURATION has been selected for the FootPOWR. The image below shows the "Virtual Worlds configuration." That allows mostly keyboard input needed by such games. There is a BASIC configuration for "mouse" communication. Go to LOAD and check out the list of configurations. Each will display the FootPOWR with the command mapped to each of the nine squares (switches). It is easy to LOAD the one that will work the best for the game or software you want to use with the FootPOWR. You can also CUSTOM MAP a configuration that you like.
