How to Map and Configure the FootPOWR Peripheral
The first thing to do is to install the FootPOWR using the install CD. Your FootPOWR comes configured to the most common "mouse" input needed for the most popular computer games played with FootGaming. The mouse speed is set at 6, in most cases. As games demand or as player skill level increases, one may want to change the mouse speed. The configuration below is commonly used for the game AstroPop (PopCap)
The
upper left area of the FootPOWR (X) in the image, is
usally configured to the left "mouse" button. The upper
right, (O) in the image, is usually configured to the right
"mouse" button. The directional arrows correspond to the
direction the cursor will move in the software or game program.
HOW TO MAP THE FOOTPOWR TO KEYBOARD INPUT: When a game or software uses the ENTER, the space bar or select arrow or other keys, mapping the FootPOWR is easy. Simply left click on the part of the FootPOWR you wish to map and select KEYBOARD from the drop down menu. Then select the key you want that area to be. Repeat as needed.
You will see an area that asks for the user, for LOGGING steps as miles or calories. Please see the LOGGING FAQ for more information.
The more you play games, use computer software for leisure, casual games or learning, or play within a virtual world the more often you will begin to think, "This would work so much better if the FootPOWR were configured differently.
