I was delighted to experience a thorough explanation of how and why physical activity can help our brains focus and be most productive. My "teachers" were a team of 4th graders who use a slide show called "Brainy Stuff" to guide us through the lesson.  You will be amazed at what they taught.  Take 5 minutes and cruise the slide show yourself.  You'll come away convinced that for your brain to function at its best, your neurons require oxygen.The only way to provide optimal oxygenation is through pulse-raising physical activity. You'll be inspired to choose to move, get out of the chair and discover creative ways to enjoy computer time as more active play.

 

The brain consumes about 20 percent of our blood flow to meet its oxygen, glucose and other nutritional needs. An activity like Footgaming that gets you up and moving during computer time usually spent seated is a great boon to your brain.  Physical activity and balance movement will deliver oxygen and provide the neurons with what they need.
